The Maturidism is a theological sect attributed to Abu Mansur al-Maturidi, which was based on using rational and verbal proofs and evidence in arguing with its opponents, from the Mu’tazilites, the Jahmiyyah and others, to prove the truths of religion and the Islamic faith. Abu Mansur had many debates and arguments with the Mu’tazila regarding matters in which he disagreed with them, until he was called across the river the Imam of the Sunnah and the Imam of Guidance. --
