Notes Dr. Osama Hamdi; Professor of Internal Medicine and Diabetes, at Harvard University, is a lover of Egypt and its people. Aside from medicine and his huge contributions to the advancement of diabetes and obesity sciences worldwide, through his research and numerous scientific books, he is an artist, writer, and poet. His overwhelming love for Egypt’s history and identity prompted him to compile hundreds of articles about the events of Egypt at the time they occurred from the world press so that we can discover with him the other side of the picture in all its details and without frills or falsification. In this interesting book, the Egyptian and Arab reader shares some of what He collected it over the course of 33 years, so that we can learn with him about events that we did not know before, that may bring us many surprises and images, about hidden situations, and perhaps shocking or different from what we thought, that were previously only available to the American reader. The veteran United Nations translator, Professor Mustafa Abbas, helped him in conveying them with extreme accuracy and mastery. The book is a pleasure for the reader, who is interested in knowing the history of Egypt and the Arab region, and who is searching for the truth about an important period in Egypt’s history, extending from King Farouk assumed the throne of Egypt, until the death of President Gamal Abdel Nasser. Let us swim with him in our ancient history, and see with him the other side of events!.. -- Includes a bibliography.
