Notes
The early Muslims paid great attention to recording everything that was reported from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, whether verbal, actual, or declarative. Because it is the second source of Islamic legislation, the process went through several stages of codification, then writing, classification, and authorship, after it was limited only to oral and narration. Then, with the passage of time, the types of books on Hadith and Sunnah branched out into Sahihs, collections, Sunans, Muwatta’s, compilations, Musnads, proofs, and extracts, which contain thousands of Prophetic hadiths and noble traditions on various topics of religion and its law. This book deals with a brief inductive study of the history of writing and codifying the Sunnah in the first centuries, then the development of classification and authorship in it through The Hijri centuries, with a brief definition of the figures of this scientific movement, as well as the most important venerable books they wrote in each of those centuries. All of this is done in a simple and easy manner, while avoiding controversial and pointless issues. -- Bibliography: p. [379]-396.
