Notes Contradiction is a stable critical rhetorical term in Arabic criticism. It was used by rhetoricians and critics under many names, including counterpoint, or contrast, until we reached the modern era, when translations appeared with terms including opposition, dualities, ambiguity, and contrast, in accordance with the critical approach followed in the study that delve into the depths of the text by disassembling it, recomposing it, or involving the recipient in reading it, so it became another product in literary creativity. From here comes this research, which adopts the study of antithesis in critical and rhetorical research among the Arabs. It is an attempt to conceal this universal phenomenon that pervades life and its reflection in literature, criticism, and rhetoric, and in the face of the multiplicity of rhetorical and creative studies, their diversity, and their different visions of antithesis, and the multiplicity of creative types in which antithesis enters as a structural component, with the overlap of those types and terms in Arab critical and rhetorical research, and recording everything that is related to it with the clarification of antithesis. A concept, a term, and disentangling it from foreign terms; Because this overlap and connection has not been fully and detailedly addressed in Arab critical and rhetorical research. -- Bibliography: p.
