This research deals with the topic of the righteous predecessors’ understanding of the legal texts, and removes doubts about its authenticity, as the author began by talking about the truth of the righteous predecessors’ understanding of the legal texts, then explained the importance of the righteous predecessors’ understanding of the texts and the scholars’ care to write it down, then he mentioned conclusive evidence of the righteous predecessors’ understanding and the fruits of adhering to it, so he mentioned the Qur’anic evidence, the prophetic hadiths, the sayings of the companions and the previous imams, consensus, reason and correct consideration, historical experience, and the statement of creating a new understanding. For the legal text that the predecessors did not understand, then he addressed the suspicions of the Islamic modernists about not adopting the righteous predecessor’s understanding of the legal texts and refuting them, so he mentioned nine doubts from that, and thus he concluded the book. -- Bibliography: p. 253-283.
