Notes Inscription: "Wm. W. Turner, Esq.-- from his Friend Ch[...] Wexford -- NYork 1853 -- and to his Friend -- Alexander I. Coltheal -- from W.W. Turner" (flyleaf verso at back of book). Shelfmark: X892.8 Ad9. Origin: The item is undated, but an owner's note places it before 1853. Likely copied in the 19th century. Script: Written in large nastaʻlīq in black ink; pointed. Layout: 8 to 9 long lines. Title from inscription (f. 1r). Manuscript codex. Gift of Alexander I. Cotheal (library bookplate inside front cover). Red leather over pulpboard with faint gold-tooled (now greenish) frame of parallel lines; plain paper doublure.
