It can be said that some aspects of the Westernization project in Türkiye began to take place from the mid-19th century and even pre-date the Tanzimat. But the implementation of this as a radical Europeanization project and the naming and development of many innovation movements, the foundations of which were laid or thought before, took place with the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye.
When we look at it from the perspective of Ottoman-Republican ties, 'what kind of similarity, continuity and change is experienced in social life, daily life, city life, family, women, fashion, entertainment, new social spaces and emerging ideas.'
