Notes	Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyā ibn Muḥammad al-Wansharīsī (d. 914/1508), Īḍāh al-masālik ilā qawāʻid Mālik (title mentioned in f. 1v). The ms. contains numerous corrections and additions between the lines and in the margins. Colophon in f. 13v: Wa kān al farāgh minhu wa t-tamām fī ukhrayāt shahr Allah al- Muḥarram al-ḥarām, fātiḥ ʻām sabʻīn wa thamānī mi’a min hijrat khayr al-anām Muḥammad, ʻalayhi afdal aṣ-ṣalāh wa azkā as-salām, ʻalā yad mu’allifihi al-ʻabd al fagīr al-mudhnib al-ḥaqīr, ʻubayd Allah subḥānahu, rājī raḥmatihi wa ghufrānihi wa faḍlihi wa iḥsānihi wa jūdihi wa mti nānihi, Aḥmad ibn Yaḥyā ibn Muḥammad al-Wānsharīsī. As shown by the date of the ms., Muḥarram 870 (August-September 1465), it was written by the author before leaving Tlemcen for Fez in 874 (1469). [Brockelmann G II 248, S II 348.] According to a note, Roux bought the ms. to his assistant Sī Laḥssen on January 16, 1939. With two carbon copies of letters written by Roux in Arabic, dated July 10 and July 23, 1940, in which he asks a certain Mawlāy ‘Abdarraḥmān ibn Zaydān to return this manuscript and others that he borrowed from him. An additional note indicates: “Loaned to Mr. el-Kebir b. Zidan on 3/2-1939. Returned in 1945ˮ.
