Notes Foliation in ghubār. Substitution of the first folio of the text. Colophon in f. 243r, dated 22 Ṣafar 991 (17 March 1583), copied by Yūsuf ibn Ibrāhīm ar-Rasmūkī. Yūsuf ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Mūsā ar-Rasmūkī, probable copyist, died at the beginning of the 11th century AH and is the maternal grandfather of Aḥmad at-Taghātīnī (cf. as-Sūsī, Rijālāt al-ʻilm p. 36). A note establishes that this ms. was purchased by ṭālib ‘Abdallāh ibn Yaḥyā from ṭālib Mūsā ibn Muḥammad at-Timlī in Muḥarram 1016 (April-May 1607) for the price of thalāth awāqī ad-darāhim. Saʻīd ibn Sulaymān as-Samlālī al-Kurrāmī, commentary on the Alfīya of Ibn Mālik, entitled Kitāb tanbīh aṭ-ṭalaba ʻalā maʻānī l-Alfīya. The commentary was completed in 875 (1470-1) “for [my?] childrenˮ (li awlād). [Cf. as-Sūsī, Sūs al-ʻālima, p. 178]. The author of the commentary, Saʻīd al-Kurrāmī (in Berber: Seid Akrramu), belonged to a famous family of marabouts known as Berber from Ikrruma.
