Notes
Manuscript code in the library: 41. Size: 23 x 18. The book contains answers to thirty-two questions, most of which are jurisprudential. It seems that Sheikh Al-Mujib is a student of Sheikh Ahmed bin Abi Sitta and Sheikh Suleiman bin Abdullah bin Abi Zaid. In 11f we read in the text: “...and I was hearing from our sheikh and our blessing, our uncle Ahmed bin Abi Sitta, may God have mercy on him...”, and in 14f in the text we read: “...I heard our sheikh and our blessing, our uncle Suleiman bin Abdullah bin Abi Zaid, may God protect him...”, and we can also date these answers to the eleventh century. Hijri, in 8d we read in the text: “...because in every hundred years, for example, twenty-five days occur in this quarter, so two hundred and fifty days occur from the years of the Hijra until now...”, and we can limit the date more between the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Abi Sitta, when the respondent said, “May God have mercy on him,” and before the death of Sheikh Suleiman bin Abdullah bin Abi Zaid, when the respondent said, “May God protect him.” We can also conclude that the respondent is from the island of Djerba, as we read in 12v in the text: “As is the case with our jurists, may God protect them on the island and help them...”
In the margins there are readings and corrections in the copyist’s handwriting. In 14 and at the end of the answers, we read in the margin in the copyist’s handwriting: “This is what was found, and God knows best, there is a deficiency in it.” In the conclusion, there are two poetic lines. - Medium - from 1 pm to 14 pm. The book is DJ. Booklets are separate. The papers have water marks.
