In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, and prayers and peace be upon our Master, the Messenger of God. This is an explanation of the wonderful, eloquent poem, the Ya’i, composed by the Sheikh, the Master Al-Arif, the Guardian of God Almighty, The Siraj of the People of Love, Sharaf Al-Din Omar bin Al-Faridi, may God be pleased with him and return to us of His blessings, clarifying the language, parsing, wonderful alliteration, and proverbs and quotations it contained.
