In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our Master Muhammad and his family. Oh God, facilitate and help, O Generous One, the interpretation of Surat Maryam, peace be upon her, which is sixty Meccan verses (...) The one referred to Ubayy bin Ka’b said that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, said, “Whoever recites Surat Maryam, may God bless him and his family, will be given ten good deeds in reward according to the number of those who believed in Zechariah and disbelieved in him: Yahya, Mary, Jesus, Moses, Aaron, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Ishmael without counting, and a number of others.” He prayed for a son for God, and the number of those who did not pray for God for a son, and when he completed the previous surah
