There was nothing known about it from the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, that the action of the Companions in that was a pause, as there is no introduction to analogy in that. They also differed regarding raising the hands at every takbeer. Some of them saw that, and it was the Shafi’i school of thought, and some of them did not see raising the hands except in the opening statement only.
