Praying the noon and afternoon prayers together, and the Maghrib and Isha prayers together, without illness or travel. Some of this chain of transmission was narrated. I said, “What is that?” He said, “He wanted not to go out on his nation.” It was narrated on the authority of Ibn Abbas, without travel or rain. It was narrated from him that he said, “Perhaps the Prophet combined the prayer between the Maghrib and Isha prayers in Medina.”
