The first amputation is 1 sq. -The author patterned his maqamat in the style of Al-Hamdhani’s maqamat. -It contains 50 maqamat, dictated by the author on the authority of Abu Zaid al-Saruji, attributing his narration to al-Harith ibn Hammam al-Basri. -The text is framed and the paper is glossy. -It is interspersed with a footnote, and in the margin are a few comments by the same copyist. -On the last page is a stamp bearing the name: Saleh bin Muhammad [Abu Maqal] and the word camp in Latin letters. -The cover has been restored by gluing paper to the skin.
