In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful... The issue of loyalty is of two kinds, and emancipation and guardianship are loyalty, which is the conversion of a warlike man to Islam at the hands of a Muslim man, and if he is a non-Muslim, his loyalty remains for him and his loyalty is to the group of Muslims. As for the loyalty of emancipation, there is no dispute over it, and the basic principle regarding it is the saying of God Almighty: “But if they do not know their fathers, then they are your brothers in religion and your friends”...
