In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, and may our master’s blessings be upon our master... The book of pre-emption is from the word pre-emption, the opposite of the odd-numbered one, as pre-emption adds to his property a property, and it is said that a she-camel is a pre-emptor, meaning (...) her offspring, when the buyer sells to take a right from him, and in the Sharia, the right is assigned to the partner and those of the same rank in the thing sold for the sake of the sale.
