Short shot of a manuscript, Dated manuscript, contents: Diwan of the poet in alphabetical order of the verses. Other mss.: Ahlwardt 7/7 = No. 7711 - Ṣanʿāʾ (1984) 1649. The explicitness of the present ms. is different from that of the Berlin parallel, the scope of the latter is also considerably larger: While the ms. Ahlwardt no. 7711 supposedly contains around 5,000 verses, the Munich mss. only a little more than 500 verses (lines of verse), writing: medium-sized, fully dotted, partially vocalized Nasḫī written by a rather inexperienced hand. Highlights in red: the headings (wa-qāla raḥimahu llāh), dots as verse separators, the expression wa-kānat wafātuhū in the preface, the colophon. Above the basmala on sheet 2b is a somewhat awkwardly executed headpiece, binding: light brown half leather strap with flap (spine and bridge in leather).
