Based on the interview with the owner, the material was written in the 1970's. Red and black ink are used throughout the manuscript. The red is used for key words and vowels, and the black ink is used for consonants. There are also Arabic structures in the text, including in the openings and closings.The material contained eulogies of Serigne Massamba Mbacke (a half-bother of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba), Sokhna Fatou Dia (Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba's daughter), Mame Cheikh Anta Mbacke (a half-brother of Ahmadou Bamba), Mame Thierno Mbacke (a half-brother of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba), Serigne Ndame Abdou Rahmane Lo (a disciple of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba), Serigne Mbacke Bousso (an uncle of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba), Serigne Modou Moustapha Mbacke (the oldest son of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba and the first Khalif of the Muridiyya order), and eulogies dedicated to Serigne Bara Mbacke and Serigne Bassirou Mbacke (two sons of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba). The material also includes a family history of Cheikh Ahmadou Bamba, discussions on some conflicts inside Senegal at that time, stories about Adam and several prophets, the virtuous traits of the Mbacke family women, and a poem entitled "Nattoo di Kirkiraani Lawliyaa'i" (Hardships are the tests of saints). Physical characteristics of original material: A few sections near the binding in some pages are hard to read. Overall, the documents are clear and readable. 1 bound paper manuscript of 232 pages. Based on the interview with the owner, the original materials were written between the 1930's and the 1950's. These copies were made in the 1970's. Author: Serigne Moussa Ka.
