Notes This manuscript is a handwritten copy of the original written by Ibn Baabu Al-alawi. It is a poem in praise of Shaykh Ahmad al-Tijān. The manuscript was acquired by Muhammad al-Amin Ba in the year 1929 who passed it on to his son Muhammad Al-ghāli Ba (d.1991). Specifically, it touches on the status and talents of Al-Hajj Umar Tāl. The poem begins with giving thanks to Allah and asking God to bless prophet Muhammad (SAW) then it praises the qualities of Shaykh Ahmad al-Tijan.
