Notes Description: This is a 732-folio gloss of the commentary by Ibn ʿAqīl, by the Egyptian scholar Muḥammad al-Khiḍr al-Dimyāṭī (1798-1870), completed in 1250/1834. The copy in the Riyadha library is thus one of the earliest printed versions of this book coming from Egypt, and hence one of the earliest printed versions overall Extent of original: Litograph, 716 pages, 24x16 cm. Condition of original: Stone print, bound in original leather binding and lined with paper - pattern flower, red, green and white. Date of original: c. 1850, printed in Egypt.
