Notes Transliterated title: Duwaaraŋ Kummaayariŋo. The beginning of the manuscript is written in classical Arabic and the rest is written in a special incantatory language that serves for protection. Only the incantatory language is vocalized with red ink. Custodial history: The owner inherited it from his father, Mamadou Lamine Diante, who was born in Baghere in Casamance and received his Islamic education in Diao Simaacounda. He later settled in Kontecounda where he served as an Imam and Quranic teacher until his death. Extent and format of original material: 8 pages. Physical characteristics: Unbound manuscript.
