The two texts together are usually recited in Harar during the celebrations for the birthday of the Prophet. A note on the back cover claims that the book was bought in 1247 A.H./1831-32. The calligraphy of this note seems however much more recent. By Šams al-Dīn Muḥammad al-Fayyūmī; Abū al-Ḥasan Nūr al-Dīn 'Alī b. Nāṣir.
