Notes Praise be to God who sent down the Qur’an, making all peoples incapable of it, singling us out for it above all other nations, honoring our sect over all other sects, and preferring us over all other nations. And God Almighty said: “The religion with God is Islam” over the justifications of cattle. I thank Him for the religion of Islam, and I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, who has no partner. The testimony of the one who said: “My Lord is God.” May peace and blessings be upon his family and honorable companions until the day of the rush. And after: This is a book called Al-Muntabihat Ala Al-Amār Al-Wajābī by Imam Abu Hanifa Na’an bin Thabit, may God be pleased with him. It contains ten chapters. Some of them are two-chapter, some are four-chapter to the full ten. We ask God Almighty to benefit us and the Muslims with it. As for what is two-chapter, it includes what was narrated from the Prophet, peace be upon him, that he said: There are two qualities, nothing is better than faith in God Almighty and benefit to the Muslims. And peace be upon him said: Two qualities, none. The most insidious of them is polytheism to God and harm to Muslims....And Othman, may God Almighty be pleased with him, said: I waste ten for ten: a world that is not asked about, knowledge that is not acted upon, a correct opinion that is not accepted, a weapon that is not used, a mosque that is not prayed in, a Qur’an that is not read in, money that is not spent from it, horses that are not ridden, knowledge in the belly of the one who wants this world with it, and a long life in which he does not provide for a future time. And Ali, may God bless his face, said: Knowledge is the best inheritance, etiquette is the best rag, piety is the best provision, and worship is the most profitable merchandise and good deeds. The best leader, good character is the best companion, dream is beautiful, contentment is the best wealth, success is the best helper, and marwa is the best chaperone. Some wise men said there are ten qualities that God Almighty hates on ten souls: miserliness on the rich, arrogance on the poor, greed on the scholars, lack of modesty on the women, love of the world on the old, laziness on the youth, harshness on the ruler, generosity on the invaders, hypocrisy on the servants, arrogance on the ascetics, and peace. Praise be to God, by whose grace and majesty good deeds are accomplished.
