Notes	...the image of the man, but rather in the sense that he appeared in that image to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, as a companion, and he spoke to me like this. It was narrated by Al-Bukhari on the authority of Abdullah bin Yusuf, on the authority of Malik, and Al-Bayhaqi narrated it on the authority of Al-Qa’nabi on the authority of Malik, and he said: So he teaches me with ‘ayn’ instead of ‘kaf’, and I have seen him descend with an initial fatḥā’, with a light ḍāy, with a ḍammah, and a ḍāy with an aggravated and open one, so that it may flow out like a fatḥād....And Glory be to God the Great, and with His praise is filling the scale. The ultimate knowledge and the amount of contentment are the weight of the Throne, and I ask God, the Generous and Benevolent, to make the reward for this book acceptance from Him, satisfaction, pardon, well-being, and forgiveness, and to benefit its reader, its writer, and those who return to it when there is a problem, with His grace and generosity. There is no Lord other than Him and no one to be worshiped except Him.
