Notes	Praise be to God, the First, for He has no last, and I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, who has no partner and who is not praised by the little ones, and I bear witness that our master Muhammad is His servant and messenger of pure lineage, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, his family, and his companions, the one who possesses glory and deeds, and after: This is a nice book that brings together the firsts. Zakat, fasting, Hajj, sales, obligatory duties, marriage, punishments....The first one to whom the truth greets and shakes hands is Omar, may God be pleased with him. It was narrated by Ibn Majah on the authority of Ubayy bin Ka’b, with a chain of transmission traceable to the Prophet. The first of the rich to enter Paradise is Abd al-Rahman bin Awf, may God be pleased with him. Narrated by Abu Nu`aym on the authority of Anas, with a chain of transmission traceable to the Prophet. The first to be called to Paradise are those who are thankful in good times and bad. It was narrated by Al-Tabarani on the authority of Ibn Abbas with a chain of transmission traceable to the Prophet. The first to enter Paradise is the honest merchant. It was narrated by Ibn Abi Shaybah on the authority of Abu Dharr, with a chain of transmission traceable to the Prophet. The first food that the people of Paradise will eat is extra whale liver. The two sheikhs narrated it on the authority of Anas, with a chain of transmission traceable to the Prophet. Ibn Saad and Ibn Abi Shaybah narrated on the authority of Abu Ad-Duha, who said: Abu Bakr Maadi sought distress and said: As for you, you are the one whom you sought in Islam...
