Notes	Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and prayers be upon Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, and upon his good and pure family and companions. And after: This is a summary treatise on working with the astrolabe, which is a sphere. One of them has a hole with half a grid, and the other has a shaky land. The straight line passing through the poles is called the horizon of the equator, and it is the midday line in every latitude, and the circles parallel to it are called the paths. The one to the left of the observer, who is holding the chair, is his north, and the one to his right is south, and each path is twice as many as the breadth of the country, and it is the horizon of that country, and its end that follows the north pole is the east of the northern signs and the west of the southern ones.... All of this work was achieved through this work. The municipal and astronomical horoscopes work in the same way, and where the head of Capricorn is placed in the circle, the average of the day at a known ascendant falls on the midday line, the degree of equalness of the region that relates to it, and if it passes with its arch, it goes to an orbit corresponding to the part of the sun, it finds the portion of dawn, and if it passes with an arch, it finds the portion of twilight, and if it passes with the arch of the rising of the afternoon to the orbit of the sun, it finds the passage that separates the circle, which is the arc of the afternoon, and between the intersection and the oblique horizon remaining for sunset outside the region of the planets of the grid, the spinning fish in the middle of the interlacing, the tip of the scale.
