Notes	The characteristic of holding the account with the fingers: Know that this little finger and thumb are on the right hand, so one is to join the ring finger with the little finger while spreading the remainder, and two is to join the ring finger to the little finger while spreading the remainder, and three is to join the middle one to it while spreading the remainder, and four is to spread the little finger and leave the remainder, and the middle two are joined together, and for five is to spread the ring finger with the little finger and leave the middle one joined.......and if you want tens without ones, he makes a contract of tens with all the ones fingers spread, and if he wants ones with other than tens.
