| Sample Text | The Greeks believed that they were indigenous to their island, and the truth is that they came to it from Asia. They were Aryans or Indo-Europeans. They called the first inhabitants of their country the Pelagians and called themselves the Hellenes. They were four major tribes, different in morals and dialect: the Aeolians and Dorians in the north, and the Achaeans and Ilaionians in Peloponnesia - now the Morea, but this division was disturbed in the twelfth century AD. |
