| Sample Text | Saint Athanasius was most likely born in the city of Alexandria in the year 295 or 296. According to most sources, the saint descended from a pagan family. He accepted baptism from the hand of Bishop Alexandros of Alexandria, who then ordained him a deacon and made him his scribe. In the year 325, the young man Athanasius accompanied his bishop to the Council of Nicaea, and on November 7, 335, King Constantius exiled Saint Athanasius to the city of Terbar.
