Sample Text This clearly written manuscript, dating back to 1857, deals with grammatical issues drawn up by Germanus Farhat (c. 1670-1732), Bishop of Aleppo and one of the founders of the Lebanese Maronite Order. The documents of the Maronite Synod dating back to the sixteenth century reflect a weak level of the Arabic language and are interspersed with some Syriac words here and there. Bishop Farhat was a scholar who wrote the Arabic language correctly and in an excellent manner. He was also the pioneer of the Maronite initiative in the nineteenth century to revive the Arabic language. This manuscript was written in 1705 and then printed in 1836 at the American Protestant Press in Malta, without stopping the process of copying it by hand, and it is divided into research and claims. Each prompt is a short paragraph about a specific grammatical topic. The work was very popular, as evidenced by the large number of manuscripts in both Eastern and European collections.
