| Sample Text | This four-page article was written by the prominent Shafi’i jurist Muhammad al-Amdi (died 1233 [631 AH]). It addresses the difference between pre-theoretical belief and theoretical imagination. The copy of this manuscript shown here was made by an unknown writer and dates from the early nineteenth century. This manuscript was included in the Bašaček Collection of Islamic Manuscripts located in the University Library in Bratislava, Slovakia, which was included by UNESCO in the Memory of the World Register of Documentary Heritage in 1997. Safut Beg Bašašić (1870-1934) was a Bosnian scholar, poet, journalist, and director of the museum, which collected 284 manuscript volumes and 365 printed volumes reflecting the development of Islamic civilization since Its beginning until the early twentieth century. |
