Notes
Separated from his beloved Ola, Younis arrives on an isolated island where only its residents can enter. The island became the destination of the rulers who destroyed all traces of the poor there, turning it into a model of a contemporary city whose consumer culture imposes its influence on everything in it. From the walls of his small room adjacent to the library where he works, Younis watches the slow death of the city, looking to the other side, where Ola looks at him and witnesses the death as well. A blind whale accompanies its sleep while a blind cat accompanies its sleep, so that the groaning alone is the voice of the city that is reaching its cruel death, and perhaps the seeds of a new life will blossom in its land. Contemporary mythology approaches reality with an interesting language, penetrating its depths to read the possibilities within what exists.
