Notes	By employing the Khaldunian concept of renewed emergence, meaning both rupture and continuity, this book sheds a brilliant light on the process of re-establishing Qur’anic Islam in a modern Islam, in line with the shift from the Islam of the message to the Islam of history, and from the Islam of “Umm al-Qura” to the Islam of conquests. The danger lies not only in this shift in reference from the Qur’an to the hadith, but also in the transformation of the accountable in Islam into something similar to a robot that only moves. With the texts that control the affairs of his public and private life. With Al-Shafi’i’s hypothesis that the Messenger only speaks from revelation, even when he does not pronounce the Qur’an, the hadiths that were put on the Prophet’s tongue after his death were given the status of revelation, and the scholars of hadith and jurisprudence agreed to consider the Sunnah, like the Qur’an, as divine, transcendent legislation.
