Notes
After the expulsion of Muslims from Andalusia, European countries successively sent travelers to the East to explore its commercial paths, investigate its political and social conditions, and learn about Islam, in preparation for the colonial movement. +++ These travelers, most of whom graduated from priestly or military schools, wrote books in which they dealt with the news of their travels in a way that mixed fact and fiction, portraying its inhabitants as a savage, sexually corrupt people, inferior in culture and civilization. +++ This book concludes that the literature of the Western journey It was based on racist, colonialist Crusader foundations that aimed to direct Western public opinion to achieve goals and objectives far from the interests of the region and its peoples.
