The tragedy of Karbala was linked to the history of martyrdom and grief. There is no land as bloody as the land of Karbala, and no people grieved for its hero like the Shiites grieved for Imam Hussein. +++ The book deals with the Husseini mourning ceremonies on Ashura in their social, political and folklore dimensions, which turned into a form of rejection and protest and a form of hidden resistance to the official ideological vision that grew in a rejected reality that was the reason for its emergence and spread, after If some were forced to suppress it.+++Thus, self-flagellation for some became a simple act compared to the magnitude of the bloody tragedy, while the suffering that burdened the besieged person was transformed into consolation, consolation, promise, and hope for intercession and rescue.+++Perhaps this study is one of the first social studies that deals with such highly sensitive phenomena, in an attempt to penetrate negative awareness, overcome it, and present it for research and analysis according to the methods and mechanisms of modern sociology, and then reveal the positive aspects that offer solutions.
