If we add to them those who have temporarily departed, this means that one-fifth of the planet Earth’s population is about to leave, while the other four-fifths are waiting for their opportunity. Large groups of people are in constant movement and constant departure, and this is a matter that should leave enormous traces in every place from which they leave and come. This is what prompts researchers in various disciplines to focus on the phenomenon of departure as a highly influential event that is in dire need of profound answers to questions such as: Who leaves? And why? And how? What is the impact of this departure?
