Ibn Ferro's treatise is a lâ mîya and begins with this verse: بدات ببسم الله فى النظم اولا تبارك رحماناً رحيما و مويلا At the head of the volume is a qaṣîda entitled منفرجة “which delivers from worries”, a piece of marvelous virtue composed by Yousof ibn Moḥammad al-Tauzarî (التوزرى), nicknamed Ibn al-Naḥwî “the son of the grammarian”. Another poem of the same genre follows and attributed to Ḥoddjat al-Islâm Moḥammad ibn Moḥammad ibn Moḥammad al-Ghazâlî. A third piece, without the author's name, is a wasîla.
