At the head of the volume are some notes, in cursive writing, on the history and practice of the art of writing, and a model of writing, isolated letters and syllables, written on the margins of two leaves of an astronomical table. Then come six leaves of astronomical tables which, probably, are part of the tables of ʿAbd al-Raḥmân al-Ṣâliḥî; finally two tables, composed in 973 A.H. (1566 A.D.), by means of which we find the concordance of the Muslim year with the Coptic year. These two tables only cover the first six months of the Muslim year.
