The Faḍl Abī Bakr chapter is omitted. Waṣf al-malāḥim (f. 288-293v) G. Lecomte speaks of a possible attribution to Ibn al-Qūṭiyya, m. 376 hours/977. S. Okacha, in his introduction to Ibn Qutayba's Kitāb al-maʿārif, underlined the impossibility of attributing the text to this author, m. in 276 h/889, while the conquest of Marrakech was mentioned there and this city was founded in 455 h/1063. However, this hypothesis is based on Gayangos' reading of the manuscript he owned where the conquests of Mūsā ibn Nuṣayr are mentioned: و جعل يكتب إلى عبد العزيز بفتح بعد فتح مراكش Our manuscript on f. 189v, as well as the 1904 edition allow us to correct this reading: بفتح بعد فتح وملات سباياه الأجناد و تماتل الناس Colophon (f. 293v): سنة ١٢٢٩ تسع و عشرين و ماتين و ألف.
