F. Déroche, Catalog of Arab manuscripts. 2nd part. Muslim manuscripts. Volume 1, 2: The Manuscripts of the Koran: from the Maghreb to Insulindia. Paris, Bibliothèque nationale, 1983, n° 469., See the typewritten notices of Georges Vajda and Solange Ory for the Arabic manuscripts 2 to 40, 42, 50 to 67, 202, 288 to 299, 323 to 383, 385 to 470.. Text with vocalization and orthoepic signs. Rubric decorations in the shape of an inverted comma separate the verses. In the margin, the word ʿ ašr in red ink indicates the groups of ten verses. At the top of each surah are its title and the number of its verses, in red inside a banner. On each of the two initial pages (ff° 1 v° and 2 r°), the beginning of the text is arranged inside a decoration: a golden line, starting from the upper edge of the page, delimits a frame composed of two bands on either side of a rectangle flanked by two vertical spaces. In each banner is inscribed a golden cartouche where the title and number of verses of S. I and II are written in white characters reminiscent of ṯuluṯ. The rest of the text is placed in a red linear frame. Western paper; anchor-shaped watermark with the initials AB, cf. Mošin (V.), Anchor Watermarks, Amsterdam, 1973 (Monumenta Chartae Papyraceae Historiam illustrantia, XIII), n° 1605. 268 fol. 149 × 97mm. 15 lines per page (except in ff° 1 v° and 2 r°: 7 l.). Writing surface: 87 × 51 mm. Black ink. Advertisements. Quinions. Oriental binding whose flap has disappeared; on both boards, the frame is made up of two double fillets and one single cold-stamped fillet - the latter gilded. The central plate in the shape of a polylobed mandorla (44 × 31 mm; garland decoration, cf. OAi 2, fig. 2) was cold stamped on both boards on a red colored insert whose background was gilded; a golden net highlights the contours of the plate and ends with two points on the vertical axis. The S. I is repeated at the end of the text. Türkiye On the flyleaf, note in Arabic by Cl. Hardy, followed by a profession of Christian faith in his own hand, also in Arabic; this volume belonged to Cl. Hardy (inventory mark of his library; ff, cf. H. Omont (Henri), French archaeological missions in the Orient in the 17th and 18th centuries..., Paris, 1902, 2 volumes, II, p. 990-993) 2 (2. Compare with the ex-libris which appears on Bibliothèque Nationale Syriaque 391.).. Comes from Colbert's library. A Western hand numbered the suras. Notice in Latin by J. Ascari, from 1735.
