This divan is preceded by a preface, in elegant prose mixed with verses, which constitutes a dedication, dated from the month of Ramadhan in the year 982 (1574), to Sultan Mourad III (folios 4 verso, 5 recto), that is to say from the time of his accession to the throne; a collection of kaside and terǧiʿ-bend, composed by this polygraph, in Moharrem 1000 (October 19-November 17, 1591), exists in the British Museum, under the title لائحات الحقيقة; this divan contains: (folio 8 verso) invocations to God and the Prophet, entitled مناجات and written in the form of kaside; kaside (folio 11 verso), in praise of Sultan Selim II, Sultan Mourad III, Piri Pasha, ʿOsman Pasha, Moustafa Pasha, Feridoun Beg, Saʿdi Efendi; elegies (folio 36 verso); mousaddas, mourabbaʿ, moukhammas (folio 40 recto); the ghazels, arranged in the alphabetical order of their rhymes (folio 57 verso); of moukattaʿat (folio 174 verso).
