(1631 A.D.). The work consists of two parts, each of which is divided into two volumes. The first part is devoted to Spain and the second to the vizier Lisan al-Dîn. An English translation of the first part has been published by M. de Gayangos; the Arabic text of the same part was printed in Leiden, and a complete edition of both parts appeared in Egypt. In the introduction to the Leiden edition, Mr. Gustave Dugat gave a general overview of the work and a life of the author. The present ms. contains the first five books of the first part.

Political and literary history of Spain, by Aḥmad ibn Moḥammad al-Maqqarî, died in Cairo, in 1041 A.H. (1631 A.D.). The work consists of two parts, each of which is divided into two volumes.
