See the typewritten notices of Georges Vajda for the Arabic manuscripts 471 to 812.. Oriental writing. Fully vocalized text. — Marginal corrections almost all by the hand of the copyist. 159 fol. (f. 1 v, 2-2 v, 50, 58 v, 117, v left blank). — 243 × 177 mm. — 27 to 35 lines per page. — Written surface varying from 213 × 135 to 225 × 145 mm; the fol. 39, 50, 58 and 117 are of another format. — Quinions numbered in Arabic letters.. According to a note by Ibrāhīm al-Ǧaʿbari, of which a mark of possession, dated 752 AH (1351 AD), appears on the same page, this copy is in the hand of [Ahmad ibn ʿAlī] ibn al-Samīn, a disciple of the author (f. 3); in fact it is only a questionable deduction, drawn from the identity of the writing in the body of the text and that of the hearing certificates of the fol. 159 v, because these certificates are only copies (ṣūra), transcribed on another unknown manuscript. Signatures of ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Šuwayḫ (f. 1); some verses and a mark of possession from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Šams al-Dīn Ḥammāda al-Manzalāwī (f. 1); two marks of possession and reading of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh Ḥammāda al-Manzalāwī dated 1172/1758 (f. 3); mark of possession of Ibrāhīm ibn Muḥammad ibn Ibrāhīm ibn ʿUmar ibn Ḫalīl al-Ǧaʿbarī dated 752/1351 (f. 3); mark of possession of Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī... dated 10 ?aw-wāl [7]81 (f. 3); four-membered riwāya: al-Ḫiḍr ibn al-Ǧawālīqī Abū Mawhūb, (cf. VAJDA (G.), Reading Certificates (I), note 1), Zayd al-Kindī Abū al-Yumn (520/1126-613/1216), ʿAbd al-Ṣamad ibn Aḥmad ibn ʿAbd al-Qādir ibn Abī al-Ǧayš al-Ḥanbalī (593/1196-667/1268), Ibrāhīm ibn ʿUmar ibn Ibrāhīm al-Ǧaʿbarī (640/1242-732/1333) [cf. VAJDA (G.), Reading Certificates (I), to be completed] (f. 3); two certificates of hearing from the copy of Aḥmad ibn ʿAlī ibn al-Samīn dated 546/1151 and 542/1147-48 [cf. VAJDA (G.), Reading Certificates (I)] (f. 159 v); oriental stamps (f. 3, 74 and 159). Oriental binding with flap, 17th century, garnet calfskin; cold-stamped central plate, on both sides.
