The Kabous name, which is described under no. 755 of the Catalog of Persian manuscripts, is a treatise on politics and ethics, written by the Deïlemite prince ʿOnsor el-Meʿali Kaï Kaous ibn Iskender ibn Kabous ibn Vashmeguir ibn Ziyar, for his son, Prince Guilan Shah; the present version, which is divided into forty-four chapters, was dedicated to Sultan Murad II, in 835 AH (1431-1432). Turkish binding, in stamped and gilded red leather.
