Copy executed by ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Miṣrī and completed on 19 ǧumādā I 882/29 August 1477 (f. 132). The fol. 1-7v; 12-17v are from another hand. Comes from the library of Eusèbe Renaudot, bequeathed to the abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. - Some marginal corrections. - Marks of reading and possession of Muḥammad ibn Abī Bakr ibn Yaḥyā al-Madanī, dated 906, 907, 910 h/1503-1507 (f. 1, 132v); Purchase mark from Muḥammad ibn Rustum (f. 1). - Anonymous notice.. Titre au f. 2, on the front of the main gate of E. Renaudot, and au f. 1. Traces of the titre on the conveyor belt. Inc. (f. 1v): We begin by praising God, remembering Him, and thanking Him (...) and I have called this book of the Book of the News of the Time (...) Now to come, God Almighty and His Names are sanctified created His creation without necessity. Exp. et colophon (f. 132): God made this clear in His Noble Book, which He revealed to His Messenger Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace. The book “Akhbar al-Zaman” was completed and completed (...) by the weakest of God’s servants and the one most in need of mercy, forgiveness, and contentment, Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Masri. May God forgive him and forgive him and his two children and whoever was the reason for writing it and whoever read it (…). The completion of its copy fell on Friday the nineteenth of Jumada al-Awwal, one of the months of the year eight hundred and eighty-two. May God bless...
