The punctuation of the dāl and ṭā'' indicates that the manuscript was probably copied in Yemen.. Marks of possession of Ḥasan ibn Ḥusayn Ḥabaš, of ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAlī al-Kutubī dated 1129 h / 1716-1717, of Amīr al-mu'minīn al-Mahdī li-Dīn Allāh and his son al-Manṣūr, dated 1201 h / 1786-1787 (on these two imams of Sanaa, see Zambaur, Manual of genealogy and chronology, p. 123), note indicating that the qadi Aḥmad ibn Abī al-Riğāl authorized the transcription of the first and second ğuz'-s at the end of šaʿbān 1139 h / April 1727 (f. 1); mark of possession of Ḥusayn ibn Muḥammad al-[?] (f. 241v).. Redone leather binding. Upper plate: central golden cruciform motif; lower plate: central plate in the shape of a polylobed mandorla with two stamped florets. The flap is redone, it has been attached to the upper plate.
