Pl. XIX, B Text with vocalization and orthoepic signs. Golden circles surrounded by a blue border, with the word aya in gold “Kufic” characters on a red background, separate the verses. A pendant-shaped decoration, with the word ẖams in gold “Kufic” characters on a red background, indicates the groups of ten verses; a blue and gold medallion, with the word ʿ ašr in the same character, marks those of ten. At the head of S. XXXIX appear its title and the number of its verses in white “Kufic” characters on a blue background animated by a scroll, inside a banner accompanied by a vignette. On the final double page, the end of the text is placed in a gold, white and blue frame; in the cartridges appears Koran XXXVII, 180-182 in white ṯuluṯ characters on a gold background (ff° 15 v°-16 r°). The circumference of the circle is highlighted by a twist. The frame is composed of an interlacing inside which points are inserted and which is taken between two bands delimited by double nets; a third, wider, is decorated in each corner with a golden point. The spandrels are made up of a quarter of a circle started by two circular notches on either side of the diagonal; the central salient extends towards the center of the field and ends with a trifoliate loop enhanced with golden dots. The covering has the same frame as the plates; the axial plate, circular (diameter: 68 mm), is occupied by a six-pointed star intertwined with a six-lobed rosette and enhanced with golden dots (cf. M. Weixweiler, IB, Klappentyp 11, fig. 46). The counterplates are lined with leather... (ff° 1 and 2: XXXVII, 134-166; f° 3 to 16: XXXVIII, 32-XXXIX, 31). Egypt.
