Groups of three inverted commas, colored red, separate the verses. At the head of each sura appear its title and the number of its verses - this last indication being lacking for the last suras. On the initial double page, the beginning of the text is placed inside the outline of a decoration in red ink (ff° 1 v° and 2 r°). The indications of sağda and those of divisions in ğuz ʾ and ḥizb are written in the margin in red ink. Western paper. 269 fol. 303 × 211mm. 15 lines per page (except in ff° 1 v°: 5 l., and 2 r°: 10 l.). Black ink. Writing surface: 206 × 135 mm. Advertisements. Quinions. Oriental flap binding; central plate in the shape of a polylobed mandorla (78 × 58 mm; decoration erased) and cold-stamped fillets on both boards; three mandorlas with bouquet decoration have been cold stamped on the flap.. Egypt?. Comes from the Séguier-Coislin library, bequeathed in 1732 to the abbey of Saint-Germain des Prés (in the inventory of the Séguier library - ms. Bibliothèque Nationale latin 11878, f° 129 r° - a Koran is indicated with the symbol C changed to E XLVII). Anonymous note in Latin.
