Biyografi veya Tarihçe
Abba Bagibo, roi du royaume de Limmu-Ennaréa (1801-1891), succéda en 1825 à Bofu son père qui abdiqua en sa faveur. Lui-même et ses sujets se convertirent alors à l'Islam. La lettre est écrite dans une écriture inconnue et dans une langue qu'Antoine d'Abbadie suppose être la langue oromo (ilmorma). Elle était accompagnée d'une version en arabe. La lettre a été traduite en français d'après cette version arabe et publiée par Antoine d'Abbadie dans le Bulletin de la société de géographie , 1842 p. 122-126. Une copie se trouve aux f. 73v-74v du carnet Ethiopien Abbadie 272.
